– A new design …. with lots of heart and soul –
We are supporting the Watoto project this month with a portion of all proceeds going to this amazing cause. This month we pause and remember!
On Thursday 16th June 2011 in Kampala Uganda, Watoto joined with the rest of Africa to commemorate the Day of the African on 16th June 2011. Partnering with the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development and other child rights organisations in Uganda, Watoto recognises the plight of street children as a highly vulnerable and at-risk social group that needs immediate attention.
“There is a significant number of children who are forced onto the streets after the loss of a primary caregiver. Watoto is committed to rescuing such children before they become destitute,” comments Alan Penry, Chief Executive: Watoto.
